The Mahatma Gandhi Institute organised the End-of-Year Children’s Programme on Saturday 20 November 2010 in the auditorium of the institute. The children gave a brilliant performance of the skills that they have developed in a short span of two years in the field of Indian Music and Dance. This is a cultural programme which all parents await at the end of every year. Every parent would like to see his or her ward performing on stage at such a young age. Behind this performance stood all the staff of the School of Performing Arts who had put up all their efforts to prepare such charming and wonderful young talents to come on stage. It was a real pleasure to watch these children performing live in a houseful of audience. The auditorium was fully pack. Standing accommodation was made available to all those who came late for the show. Remember next time to come on time, or else you might not get standing place also. The audience got the opportunity to witness young performers in various disciplines like Bharata Natyam, Kathak, Tabla, Violin, Vocal Hindustani and Carnatic. Truly speaking the audience was mesmerized.
